Trying to get ALBERT THE ALIEN nominated for a Harvey Award. Anyone on here who nominates Albert for the following, I will nominate something of yours as well:
- BEST ONLINE COMICS WORK (www.AlbertTheAlien.com) - BEST ORIGINAL GRAPHIC PUBLICATION FOR YOU READERS (put Thrillbent as the publisher)
Printing, cutting, folding, stapling, entering inventory into Square. Panicking because I missed some books and will have to do some last minute printing.
Rolling along with Sorrow. There's a big and super-important action scene I've been struggling to choreograph, but I've just skipped over it in order to preserve momentum. and I will have to come back to it. It's a flashback so it may very well move to a different place in the story by the time I get done, anyway.
Going over my notes--they are a good two years old now--for the Prince as I prepare to start writing the first issue of what I hope will be a nice miniseries.
Sorrow is at 36K words now and I think I've set up most of what's to come now. The prose is a bit skeletal, even for the stripped-back style I'm going for, but momentum is key.
Put in some thought about the Prince miniseries but I haven't committed anything to script yet.
Wrote about 800 word of Sorrow and 3 pages of The Prince.
Talking to a new artist about Deuce, finally. I went back over the scripts and was pleased to find 3 complete issues there. Finger crossed she likes it--this is a passion project I have been humping around for years.
This isn't so much a daily check-in, more an annual check-in - ha-ha... but I banged out 8 pages for @Jason Q over the space of 4 days - pencilled over a day and a half (I think about 6 hours after thumb-nailling) and inked ... I have no idea.
It all happened so fast. And that's with holding down a full-time job, and flying out to Lost Wages. I think I was sleeping 5, maybe 6 hours. Anyway, that's the most comics I've done for a while. Luckily it's mostly people.
What was a massive help was switching to Canson Comic Book Art Board - especially when resizing and redoing the panel borders digitally. Everything that I had to do in Photoshop took literally about 2 hours.
It's one of those weeks when I gotta do all kinds of little things to keep stuff afloat. So I didn't do much of The Work, even cheated on today's Conny Van Ehlsing and just posted some old character sketches. On the plus side, I finally got some notes down for upcoming Conny Van Ehlsing stories.

Please nominate my comic, guys. We're trying for a big push for Albert in 2015 - and the next graphic novel is going to come out this year, too!

Started scripting a XXXth-birthday Tale, to post on someone's XLth birthday in June.
Got inspired to do some revisions on a Tales script that I hope to get to later this year.
