Been away with work for the last week but managed to get back in time for boxing session tonight. After four hours driving in the car it kicked my ass, figuratively and literally.
Went for a walk by the lake, in part to work off some steam* after work, and went far enough to register a total of 12.5K steps today, a new record. But now I also need a few beers.
*short version: I figured out that the screw-ups in payroll have been shortchanging me for the last few months, for a total of around $200 since January 1. Probably been happening longer, but I can't prove that.
Oh yes. When I said to them "This is going to be on my next paycheck", there was not a question mark on the end. They agreed. They made a mistake calculating my overtime pay, which I didn't do too much until recently, so demanding that they dig up last year's records wouldn't produce much more money, and would piss off certain people I can't afford to piss off.
30 minutes weight training, 30 minutes cardio. And WAY under my calorie count for the day now because of it. Not that I watch calories as closely as carbs, cholesterol, fat, but it shows up in my fitness tracker, so whatever.
Sadly, I WOULD have run for an hour instead, but living in Las Vegas in the spring means dealing with 50-60mph gusts outside 50 percent of the time. Sucks.
Free weights session this afternoon, bit tentative because my left shoulder is still not 100% but came out of it fairly well. Just got some new running trainers which I'm going to break in starting Monday.
I've been walking a lot lately - although the food intake seems to have gone up to compensate for it. Walked a couple hours on Thursday, nothing yesterday, so I have to make sure I get in a good walk this afternoon.
