75 pages lettered yesterday*. Still need to somehow blast through about 180 before the end of day tomorrow.
Also trying to track down an artist for an upcoming Murder Book story. I've contacted a dude I've worked with in the past, but have yet to hear back. Hoping he can take it on, otherwise I'm on the hunt for an artist.
*Just to clarify, this is manga lettering in photoshop - replacing kanji with english in existing bubbles. No way I'd clear 75 pages a day of "regular" comic lettering.

Oh thank god! I was feeling really insecure about my lettering "skills" after this.
Got a short script approved by the editor and sent it off to the artist. Tonight, I send off the dialogue and captions for the nine page story I mentioned the other day. I'll probably give it one more read-through.
More tightening of pencils and redrawing on "Fountain". I solved my aforementioned difficulties getting the reclining semi-nude figure correct by enlisting one of my housemates (the one with a similar body type) to pose for me. Which was a little awkward because he and I don't have the kind of relationship that normally involves him getting undressed in front of me (believe it or not), but it worked out.
Just finished take three on resizing the lettering for this issue of Witch Doctor. I think this time it's finally at the right size. I've still got a couple tweaks to make to the caption treatments, but otherwise I think it's basically done. Good riddance, too!
Lukas sent me an AMAZINGLY CREEPY concept sketch for the monster we've got in the issue he's presently drawing. I'm hugely excited to see the pages now!
THANKS OBAMA!! (sigh)... you killed Bomb Queen's best friend, now I have to rewrite the upcoming vol. 7 for August. I swear, writing for a super villain isn't as easy as you think. Hah!
Simon Fernandes and I have a webstrip we're working on called The Adventures of Bell Boy. It's about a kid who gets super powers every time the recess bell rings...or, at least, he thinks he does. The newest strip just went up ... right here: http://bell-boy.ca/
Lettering like a mad man after lettering myself to collapse this morning. Trying to get through a couple one off issues before diving back into the manga madness.
Just heard from an artist I was hoping to use on a Murder Book story for May, but he's booked up until later in June. Will use him for another story down the line, but want this one done this month. On the prowl for another artist.
Today I wrote some dialog for the script I'm doing for the "Write this May" thread. I count this as The Work rather than The Play because I've intended to write this script for a year or so.
Today I sent notes on 12 colored pages, agreed to another interview, and did a little lettering work. Since then, it's just been the day job. I'm on my final 15 minute break right now.
slowly trudging through concept sketches for the next.... 'audition'. I tried out a bunch of new ideas, basically hated them and went back to my tried and true method. Guess what? I now see the light at the end of the tunnel.
Ain't no way I'm going to be doing this daily. But I'll cover what I'm working on now.
Story outlines/page breaks for THE LAND WILL KNOW. Not working full scripts unless the artists want to work from them. It's an interesting change from the old way of doing things for me, though my scripts tended to be pretty minimal as it was.
Teaching myself to hand-letter. This is also...interesting. And frustrating. Would like to hand-letter my work after the current project gets out, both to loosen things up a bit and to put a little more of an organic feel on the page. I may decide that there's no time for this. We'll have to see.
Putting the word out on STRANGEWAYS in general. Man, I ain't no damn good at self-promotion. Just don't come natural. Would rather be writing.
@maxwellm — The easier way to hand letter I've heard of is to do the lettering digitally, and then print it out and trace over it. That way you can get all the text the right size and the lines the right length for the balloon easily. (Learned that trick from Tony Morgan.)
I've been trying to find time to do one with him for years, actually. (He's also working on one of his own right now — did you get to see the pages at Stumptown?)
Starting more art on my SERIOUSLY behind schedule. Basically, I'm breaking it down like math. X amount of pages per day = total amount of pages by the end of the month. The problem is the total amount is for THREE books!
I doubt I can make this happen, but without a plan I'm even worse off and building my outcome on hope.
I'm not into hoping, I'd rather be certain. Forgive me if I'm not around as much or if I'm outside of the loop... I simply cannot keep up with all the threads here.
I wrote a character bible and 8 page first chapter script for this thing that might land at any number of publishers. The artist is named Michael Dialynas and just won a bunch of awards in Europe. I think he's the right guy.
Then I lettered an STI page. It's been 2 weeks. I need to get on the ball.
I got bored at my new job since I don't have all my access, so I wrote a new script for a 1-page story at Hadron Colliderscope. ( http://hadroncolliderscope.com )
Did a radio interview today, then got really drunk with a bunch of area friends which are sad to see me move (the whole getting drunk with friends for moving thing will be recreated the 12th). Looking forward to tomorrow, the only day I really have to do nothing but "the work" for the next 2 weeks.
Been on the road a bit, so I've managed less work than I'd like.
Wrote a plot outline for a project with Tom Bonin. It's Tom's story and characters, really, but he's asked me to help with structure, dialogue, plot, and the historical side of things, so... still a lot of work for me, figuring what the story needs while keeping it true to Tom's vision. I think we have it now.
Tomorrow, script for a number of comic shorts as well as some housekeeping emails. It's been months since I wrote any actual script and I cannot wait to get into it.

Are you fully fluent Ed?
And Anthony, that's awesome. Very Spirit-esque
I have a character based in part on Osama coming up in Captain Miracle... but I'll save that discussion for my worklog.
