@Rantz I require two goats and one chicken, all birthed on the same moonless night. In this case I'll allow you to work on credit, you've officially broken in.
I did try to, I couldn't find a place to edit it in under the profile stuff... found where to change my email addy, but no last name/handle change area.
Hiya, I'm Bryan. Ex-Engineer, and longtime P&P lurker. I'm from Sacramento, CA.
I write. Right now working on a new self-publishing venture with a retired Marine, that I'm pretty excited about. Happy to see SW take P&P's place, and happy to find the usual suspects.
hello everyone just introducing myself to this forum. i will probably posting and bugging people about my art and stuff about my comic. look forward to the feedback and seeing all your wonderful art
Years ago, I used to hang around the Engine, Whitechapel and P&P. Occasionally, I even posted. I wrote a graphic novel called 'Cages' (art by Melanie Cook) which was the first release from now-defunct Insomnia Publications. Mel and I also had a story in the Heske horror anthology a few years back.
After that, I left the comics world behind for a little while to focus on screenwriting. I moved to LA, worked in the mines, got repped, started a screenwriting blog as a joke, somehow parlayed it into a book deal for a screenwriting advice book.
These days, I write spec screenplays. It's bloody hard work, and I miss the more immediate gratification that comes from writing comics. I miss not having to worry about whether a concept is commercial, and I miss getting pages of art in my inbox. Comics writing rules, and I'd like to give it another shot.
Everything I know about the rough trade of comics I learned from Josh Hechinger, the classy gentleman who introduced me to this forum, and with whom I've co-written a few pitches that sadly never sold.
My favorite writer is Morrison, my favorite artist is Brandon Graham, my favorite historical personage is Captain Sir Richard Francis Burton, and my favorite color is blue.
Welcome @XanderBennett. I verbally pitched a project to Insomnia a year or so ago that was aimed at their biopic/historical non-fiction imprint. The next day the news broke about Insomnia's impending implosion (phew!)-- talk about timing!
I harbour delusions of literacy while working a dishonourable day job.
Currently have a few short horror scripts under my belt that I'm looking to develop into something resembling an end product. Also working on a 60-page OGN and concepts for two mini-series in the background, while churning out smaller bits and pieces occasionally, but at the point now where I'm really just eager to just get something MADE.
On the forum to see what your all up to behind my back! But would also love to get some feedback on my stuff, and talk about writing, making comics and pretty much anything else, really.
For anyone who's interested, I recently started posting some scripts on DeviantART (Have you heard of this place!? It's where all the artists are hiding!) and also talking bull**** on Twitter.
Hey everyone. I've been illustrating comics for about nine years now. Brandon Seifert invited me here a little under a year ago and I've been a lurker ever since. I'm going to start posting more though. Most of my work has been with Avatar Press and BOOM! Studios. I'm currently working on a graphic novel with Phil Hester and developing digital comics with Mark Waid. I also have a story on the back burner with Brandon Seifert.

I'll be around.
